Between the spells of rain it is worth a trip out to South Yuba State Park at Bridgeport to enjoy a stroll on the Buttermilk Bend Trail. The flowers are blooming and it is an easy trail with new flowers blooming each day. The views of the Yuba River are gorgeous up and down the canyon. Take advantage of a dry day because the flowers only last until it starts to get warm and dry. Cover up and be careful since there is already a plethora of shiny red poison oak leafing out.
